About Us
Who we are
Offstage Safety Consultants exists to bridge the gap between how the entertainment industry actually operates and what WHS legislation requires of it. Live events work doesn't fit neatly into generic safety frameworks — shows are built and dismantled in hours, crews move between sites and employers, and risk profiles shift by the day, yet the legal obligations around rigging, electrical work, plant, contractor management and psychosocial safety apply just the same.
Our objective is to translate that legislation into systems that are genuinely workable on site and HQ, so that entertainment suppliers aren't left choosing between compliance on paper and the practical realities of the job — they get both.
Meet the owner, Siobhan Millard-Webb
Over a decade of experience with technical production, site management and event operations across Western Australia — now channeled into building WHS systems that actually work on site.
Offstage Safety Consultants was founded by Siobhan Millard-Webb, a work health and safety professional with a well-established reputation across Western Australia's theatre and live events industry. Before moving into WHS consulting, Siobhan spent years working operationally in live events — across production, stage management, rigging and stage building — giving her a genuine, firsthand understanding of how events are actually built, run and pulled down. That background, combined with her formal WHS qualifications, is what shapes the way OSC works with clients today.
Our mission statement
Our mission is to close the gap between entertainment industry operations and WHS legislation, one business at a time. Live events move fast, and safety systems built for a static workplace simply don't hold up under those conditions. We're here to give contractors and suppliers the tools to meet their legal obligations without slowing down the show.
